The family of the late business mogul and acclaimed winner of the June 12, 1993 presidential election, Chief MKO Abiola, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, over their victories at the All Progressives Congress, APC, primary elections.

While President Tinubu emerged victorious in the APC presidential primary election, Senator Adeola clinched the Ogun State APC governorship primary ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The family also lauded Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, and leaders of the ruling party for ensuring a peaceful, transparent and united process that led to the emergence of the candidates.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Head of the MKO Abiola family and first son of late Alhaja Kudirat Abiola, Alhaji Olamilekan Abiola, described the victories as well-deserved, noting that both Tinubu and Yayi had demonstrated competence, commitment and dedication to public service over the years.

“We sincerely congratulate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on winning the APC presidential primary election and Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi on his victory at the Ogun APC governorship primary election. Their emergence reflects the confidence and trust party members have in their leadership abilities and vision for the country and Ogun State,” he said.
