Elderly Man Rescued From Well as Fire Disaster Hits Ibadan Barracks

A 75-year-old man has been rescued after falling into a well in Saki, Oyo State.
The incident was attended to by men of the Oyo State Fire Service on Monday evening.
The man, whose identity has not been disclosed, apparently fell in while trying to retrieve a fetcher from the well.
He was brought out alive and subsequently handed over to police officers from the Saki Divisional Headquarters, led by ASP Yusuf Olarinoye. The Chairman of the Oyo State Fire Service, Hon Maroof Akinwande, confirmed the rescue.
In a separate incident, a fire broke out at Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment, Odogbo Barracks, Ojoo in Ibadan on Tuesday afternoon, destroying properties worth millions of naira across several flats.
Akinwande also confirmed this incident, stating that operatives of the fire service quickly launched a coordinated response to prevent the fire from spreading further.
