‘Chinedu Ogah Has Vowed To Destroy Me’ — Ebonyi TikToker Chisom Achor Laments Continuous Detention Despite Bail

Ebonyi State TikToker, Chisom Achor, who has been in police detention since 2025, has alleged that a member of the House of Representatives, Chinedu Ogah, responsible for his detention, has vowed to keep him in detention despite a court granting him bail.

Achor alleged that Ogah is pressuring him to implicate certain individuals in a purported plot against the lawmaker.

A source familiar with the case told SaharaReporters that Achor’s health has deteriorated during his prolonged detention in Enugu State.

“The boy that Chinedu Ogah arrested is facing health challenges now. Since last year, Chisom Achor has not been released. He is still being detained in Enugu,” the source said.

“They want to unalive Chisom by all means. His life is in danger. If anything happens, you already know who is responsible.

“The court granted him bail, and he has paid everything he was asked to pay, but Chinedu Ogah refused to release the boy.

“Chisom informed me that Chinedu Ogah told him that if he could publicly state that Christian Nwali was sponsoring him to make the allegations he had been making, he would be released immediately. However, the boy refused to make such a statement.”

In voice notes obtained by SaharaReporters, Achor alleged that Ogah is punishing him because he refused to accuse individuals he identified as Christian Asaga Nwali, Ogbanyi, and Orawo of sponsoring him to criticise the federal lawmaker.

Speaking in the Igbo language, Achor said, “He is punishing me because of them. He (Chinedu Ogah) said they paid me, but I don’t know them. Chinedu Ogah said that if they are capable of facing him, they should come out and challenge him directly and see what happens.

“He is punishing me because of these three persons: Chief Christian Asaga Nwali, Ogbanyi, and my maternal uncle, Orawo. He claimed that the three of them teamed up and sponsored me to tarnish his image; that he is waiting for them to come out openly.

“Those people don’t even know that they are being accused of anything. Asaga Nwali doesn’t even know that Chinedu Ogah is accusing him of anything. None of them knows that their names are being mentioned for anything.

“But he has been forcing me, even since when I was in the police cell, that I should implicate those three persons so that he will release me and leave me alone. He said I should implicate them so that he would go after them, but I refused.”

The allegations come amid growing concerns over Achor’s continued detention despite claims that he has met the bail conditions imposed by the court.

His supporters have also raised concerns about his safety and well-being, alleging that he remains in custody months after securing bail.

Achor from Item-Amagu Ikwo in the Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, was arrested in November 2025 by officers of the Enugu State Police Command on the alleged order of Ogah, who is representing Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

SaharaReporters had reported that Achor was arrested on the night of November 5, 2025, in what was described as an abduction while he was live on TikTok, criticising the lawmaker.

Before his arrest, Achor had published videos on TikTok in which he accused the lawmaker of subjecting his people to brutal oppression, killings, and land-grabbing.

On November 20, 2025, Achor and another defendant, Chinonso Imeba, were arraigned before Magistrate Court 1 in Enugu North Local Government Area, presided over by O. S. Chukwuani, over allegations of conspiracy and cyberstalking linked to posts on TikTok and other social media platforms targeting a federal lawmaker, Chinedu Ogah.

The charges also reportedly alleged that between September and October 2025, the defendants conspired to commit cyberstalking contrary to Section 27 of the Cybercrime (Prohibition and Prevention) Act, 2015 (as amended).

They were also accused of publishing videos on Facebook and TikTok using the handles “Ikwo Pluto” and “Pluto 777.”
