JUST IN: Suspected Gunmen Kidnap RCCG Pastor In Ondo State

Suspected gunmen have abducted a Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) cleric, Pastor Gbenga Sanny, in Ondo.

According to reports, Sanny was kidnapped on Sunday evening around 7:00 pm in front of his residence in Ilu-Abo community, Akure North Local Government Area.

The pastor, who is also a staff member of the Akure North Local Government Area, was reportedly seized by three armed men in the presence of his children and taken to an unknown destination.

His wife reportedly escaped unharmed during the incident.

A source said the attackers emerged from a nearby bush before whisking him away.

Confirming the development, the spokesperson for the Ondo State Police Command, Jimoh Abayomi, said an investigation has been launched into the abduction.

Abayomi stated that police officers and tactical teams have been deployed to the area and are working to secure the pastor’s safe rescue and apprehend those responsible for the crime.
