Nigerian music star Peter Okoye has spoken about what he describes as an unexpected slowdown in his social media growth, claiming that his follower increase once rapid and consistent suddenly came to a halt.
Speaking during an interview, the P-Square member said his account previously recorded massive daily follower gains, at times reaching as high as 100,000 new followers per day, a period during which he ranked among the top Nigerian entertainers in online influence and engagement.
According to him, the shift in performance appeared to coincide with the group’s reunion period, though he admitted he is uncertain of the exact cause.
He also referenced the competitive nature of social media influence among celebrities, mentioning Davido and Don Jazzy as part of the space he had been tracking at the time.
