Lagos seizes 57 commercial vehicles, tricycles

The Traffic Monitoring and Investigation Unit of the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation has impounded 57 commercial vehicles and tricycles for traffic violations.
This was made known on Saturday by the Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi .
Osiyemi said: “Today, the Traffic Monitoring and Investigation Unit (TMI) of the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation conducted a comprehensive enforcement operation around the Iyana Ipaja garage and its connecting roads, focusing on both inbound and outbound traffic.
“During the exercise, 57 commercial vehicles and tricycles were apprehended and impounded for various traffic violations, including illegal parking, picking up passengers at undesignated spots resulting in obstruction of traffic.
“This operation effectively cleared the area of vehicular congestion caused by these infractions, restoring smooth traffic flow and ensuring compliance with traffic regulations”.
