Corrupt policemen nabbed in N3 million extortion scandal in Bayelsa

The Nigeria Police Drive has arrested a number of policemen hooked up to the Zone 16 Command in Yenagoa, Bayelsa for his or her alleged involvement in a N3 million extortion case.
The event was confirmed by the Drive Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, in a press release posted on his official X (previously Twitter) account.
Adejobi said that the policemen in query had been apprehended following an inner investigation and can be transferred to the Drive Headquarters (FHQ) in Abuja.
“The policemen concerned on this case of extortion of ₦3 million have been arrested. The lads are hooked up to Zone 16 Command in Yenagoa. The command has been requested to provide the boys on the FHQ,” Adejobi wrote.
He additional emphasised the dedication of the Drive Headquarters to cleaning the police system and making certain justice is served in all instances dropped at its consideration.
The case has drawn consideration to the continued efforts of the Nigeria Police Drive to fight inner corruption and restore public belief in legislation enforcement.
