NLC reacts to Ajaero arrest by DSS

The Nigeria Labour Congress has confirmed that its President, Joe Ajaero was arrested by operatives of the Division of State Companies, DSS on Monday.
Ajaero was arrested at Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja by DSS on his option to London to attend the continuing TUC Convention.
NLC in a press release by way of its official X described the arrest as an assault on Nigerian staff by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s authorities.
“The Assault on Nigeria Staff Continues. “President Of the NLC, Comrade Joe Ajaero was arrested and kidnapped by males of DSS on the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja, this morning on his option to attend an official engagement of TUC United Kingdom and he’s now detained on the workplace of the NSA”, the assertion reads.
