Shell names new Managing Director for SNEPCo

Shell has appointed Ronald Adams as the brand new Managing Director of its deep-water subsidiary in Nigeria, Shell Nigeria Exploration and Manufacturing Firm Restricted.

This was contained in an announcement by Shell Nigeria’s Media Relations Supervisor, Gladys Afam-Anadu, on Tuesday.

Adams, previously the Chief Government Officer of Atlantic LNG, Trinidad and Tobago, takes over from Elohor Aiboni, who was mentioned to have proceeded on worldwide task to Brunei Shell Petroleum as Asset Director.

Reacting, the Nation Chair, Shell Corporations in Nigeria, Osagie Okunbor mentioned, “I’m happy to welcome Ronald to Nigeria to consolidate and additional enhance the excellent performances of SNEPCo in deep-water manufacturing and life-changing social investments throughout Nigeria.

“I want to congratulate Elohor for the excellent deliveries since she took over in August 2021. The task in Brunei is one other alternative for wonderful contributions to the Shell Group.”

Ronald is a thirty-two-year veteran of the power business having efficiently guided each Shell-operated and non-operated ventures by industrial and technical challenges.

He holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the College of the West Indies and an MBA specialising in Strategic Planning from Herriot-Watt College, Edinburgh, Scotland.

The outgoing MD, Aiboni, famous that it was a fantastic honour to work alongside colleagues and exterior stakeholders to construct a secure, less complicated and cost-disciplined enterprise that continues to paved the way in deep-water operations in Nigeria.

“I’m significantly grateful for the invaluable assist and encouragement of our concessionaire and co-venture companions which made the duty simpler,” she added.

SNEPCo pioneered Nigeria’s deep-water improvement in 2005 when it started manufacturing at Bonga by the 225,000-barrel-per-day-capacity Bonga Floating, Manufacturing, Storage and Offloading vessel, anchored 120 kilometres offshore within the Gulf of Guinea.
