One other gasoline tanker explodes in Jigawa

A fuel-laden tanker has gone up in flames on the Jigawa-Kano border, North West, Nigeria.

Aliyu M. A., Public Relations Officer of the Federal Fireplace Service, Jigawa State Command, confirmed the incident to newsmen on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.

“On November 12, 2024, at roughly 10:43 hours, the Federal Fireplace Service obtained a misery name from Kuho Village Head, Zubairu Ahmad, concerning a tanker accident at Tsaida, Kwanar Kalle, close to Gamoji village alongside Maiduri Highway.

“The FFS responded promptly, arriving on the scene at 10:50 hours. The fireplace was contained and introduced beneath management,” Aliyu mentioned.

The event comes one month after an analogous incident in October, leading to over 170 deaths.

The incident occurred on October 15, 2024, when a truck carrying petrol, travelling from Kano to Nguru in Yobe State, exploded in Majia situated in Taura Native Authorities Space of the state.
