Tinubu asks APC stakeholders to reclaim Oyo in 2027

President Bola Tinubu, on Monday, referred to as on all leaders and stakeholders within the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State to place apart their variations and work along with a view to wresting energy from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party in 2027.
He made the decision on the maiden version of the annual lecture sequence of the previous governor of the state between 1999 and 2003, Lam Adesina, held in Ibadan, the state capital.
The lecture was themed, “Bettering Nigeria’s Governance: Classes From The Previous, Methods For The Future.”
Represented by the Minister of Power, Bayo Adelabu, the President mentioned the state was too vital to be lacking among the many progressive fold within the forthcoming election.
He recalled that the late Adesina was a champion of democracy who earned himself a spot of satisfaction within the nation’s historical past because of his distinctive bravery and uncommon dedication to the beliefs of service to humanity and good governance.
“Adesina stood for prime democratic beliefs that underpin the democratic system of presidency, beliefs which can be important for making certain that energy is held by the individuals, both immediately or by elected representatives.

The late Adesina, who died in 2012, was a member of the Home of Representatives (1979-1983), the chairman of the state chapter of the defunct Nationwide Democratic Coalition, a celebrated newspaper columnist and an achieved educationist who participated within the battle which ended army rule in Nigeria in 1999.
