Ex-Reps member Okon defects to APC in Cross River

Dr Patrick Okon, a former member of the Home of Representatives and lecturer with the College of Calabar (UNICAL) has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River.
The Information Company of Nigeria (NAN) studies that Okon’s defection adopted his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In his letter of resignation to his ward chairman of Eneyo South of Akpabuyo native authorities, made obtainable to the NAN, the College lecturer didn’t give a purpose for his defection.
“I want to formally inform you of my resolution to withdraw my membership of the PDP with speedy impact.
“As I go away your political fold, I’ll all the time maintain dearly in my coronary heart the comradery we shared, and I want to thanks for all of the help you gave me because the chief of the PDP in my ward,” the letter acknowledged.
Okon was a former Chairman of the Akpabuyo Council Space, a former member of the state Home of Meeting, in addition to a former member of the Home of Representatives.
