PDP NWC rejects Ugochinyere’s expulsion by Imo chapter

The Nationwide Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party has rejected the expulsion of the Home of Representatives member for Ideato North/Ideato South Federal Constituency of Imo State, Ikenga Ugochinyere, from the get together by the Umuopia/Umukegwu ward chapter of the get together in Imo State.

“Part 57 (7) of the Structure of the PDP is obvious in offering that “However some other provision referring to self-discipline, no Government Committee at any stage, besides the Nationwide Government Committee, shall entertain any query of self-discipline as might relate or concern a member of the Nationwide Government Committee, Deputy Governors or members of the Nationwide Meeting.

“Additionally, Part 59 (3) of the Structure of the PDP is unambiguous in offering that “However some other provision of this Structure referring to self-discipline, no Government Committee at any stage besides the Nationwide Government Committee shall entertain any query of self-discipline as might relate or concern a member of the Nationwide Government Committee, President, Vice President, Governors, Deputy Governors, Ministers, Ambassadors, Particular Advisers or member of any of the Legislative Homes.”

The PDP Publicity Secretary emphasised that no ward, native authorities, or state chapter of the get together has the authority to droop, expel, or self-discipline a Nationwide Meeting member in any method with out following the correct procedures set by the get together’s Structure, which requires session with the NWC.

It added, “The NWC strongly cautions that the PDP is an organized political Party ruled by strict adherence to the provisions of its Structure and Guidelines and won’t permit any particular person or group at any stage to violate its Structure and Guidelines underneath any circumstances by any means.

“The NWC states that Hon. Ugochinyere Ikeagwuonu stays a bona-fide member of the PDP with all rights, privileges, recognition, obligations and prices all leaders, crucial stakeholders, members and supporters of our Party in Imo State and the nation to ignore the purported expulsion.

“The NWC calls on all Party members in Imo State to stay united and proceed to work collectively within the total curiosity of our Party and the individuals.”
