Controversial social critic, Martins Otse, popularly referred to as VeryDarkMan, on Friday, mentioned N180m was stolen from his NGO’s account after its web site was hacked.

Recall that Otse launched the NGO named Martins Vincent Osei Initiative in October to concentrate on neighborhood improvement and enhancing the standard of public schooling in Nigeria.

The activist acquired over N35m in donations inside hours of launching the initiative. Shortly after, he introduced receiving a N100m contribution from famend music producer and Mavin Data boss, Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly referred to as Don Jazzy.

Nonetheless, in a video shared on Instagram on Friday, the activist revealed that the funds and different donations have been diverted into an unknown account.

“Truthfully, I’ve not been myself for the previous few days,” Otse mentioned. “Any individual hacked into the NGO web site, and N180 million is lacking. Fortunately, we’ve tracked the individual, and one suspect has been arrested.

“The account is now on PND (Put up No Debit). There’s N20 million left, whereas N160 million was diverted to a different account. We’re heading to Jos to get better the cash.”

Though he didn’t present a proof on how the NGO’s account was linked to its web site, Otse mentioned he needed to shut down the NGO’s app for upkeep to stop additional breaches and promised to offer updates on the state of affairs.

The activist couldn’t be reached for feedback as on the time of submitting this report.
