The Delta State Police Command has acquired the case of a false kidnap perpetrated by two lovers, aimed to extort ransom from the household of the feminine accomplice.
Parading the suspects after their arrest, the spokesperson of the command, SP Shiny Edafe, in recorded footage shared through X, revealed that the feminine, 21, initiated the false kidnap.
The feminine suspect had proposed that her accomplice (male suspect) ought to contact her mother and father to demand the sum of N2m for ransom, to be shared between them.
The girl, who had simply gained admission into college, admitted to the crime.
