FAAN, CIAP prepare journalists

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, in collaboration with the Commonwealth Institute of Superior and Skilled Research, has educated aviation journalists on efficient reporting of the sector.

On the coaching, held in Lagos, aviation stakeholders took turns to convey their expertise within the sector to the fore.

Talking on the coaching, Managing Director, FAAN, Mrs Olubunmi Kuku, stated that aviation, being a technical sector, required educated journalists for efficient and correct reportage.

She added that non-public improvement was essential to propel people to rise to develop into leaders.

Kuku, who was represented by the Director of Public Affairs and Client Safety, Mrs Obiageli Orah, defined that the essence of the workshop was to foster a relationship between the journalists and FAAN.

She said that steady private improvement was needed for everybody, together with the media, hoping that the coaching would convey a brand new vista to aviation reporting by the media.

Her phrases, “With out steady private improvement, you may be rotten, you may be caught, you may be stagnant; so, training is the gasoline that drives each chief.

“Once you speak about management, training is likely one of the key components that propel each chief to the subsequent stage, and we’re all leaders.

“We now have passengers at our airports daily; we’re to present them good customer support. If we’re to present them high quality service, that you must have the appropriate coaching and the appropriate abilities.”

A professor of technique and improvement, Anthony Kila, said that the media was vital to the event of the aviation trade specifically and Nigeria as a complete.

“One of the best ways to make customers conscious of the sector is to undergo the media in order that once they eat or learn articles, they develop into knowledgeable,” he stated.

Commending the FAAN MD, the previous Director-Common of the Nationwide Orientation Company, Dr. Mike Omeri, extolled her imaginative and prescient and drive to reposition the company.
