Ogun APC threatens to sanction members over 2027 governorship speak

The Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress stated on Wednesday that it isn’t but time to debate the 2027 governorship candidacy for the state.

The celebration has equally threatened to wield its large sticks on any members of the celebration who fail to abide by its guidelines and directives.

The ruling celebration, in a press release launched by its publicity secretary, Mr Tunde Oladunjoye, disclosed this whereas reacting to a media report indicating that stakeholders of the celebration had opted for the candidacy of an Egba-born former two-term federal lawmaker for the 2027 race.

The celebration, nevertheless, stated, “For the avoidance of doubt and with all sense of duty, the difficulty of the candidacy for the 2027 governorship ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) just isn’t on the desk of the celebration and its leaders for now.

“The current preoccupation of the celebration is to help our performing governor and chief of the celebration within the state, Prince Dapo Abiodun, in executing his unfolding legacy initiatives, which will definitely increase the standing of our celebration on the subsequent basic elections.
