APC disowns Delta management council, says physique not celebration organ

The Nationwide Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress has dismissed stories suggesting it accredited the inauguration of a management council in its Delta State chapter.

In an announcement issued on Tuesday, in Abuja, the celebration’s Nationwide Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, clarified that the NWC had not granted such approval.

“The eye of the Nationwide Working Committee of our nice celebration has been drawn to stories circulating in sections of the media concerning the inauguration of the Delta State All Progressives Congress (APC) Management Council ‘accredited by the Nationwide Management of our nice celebration.

“That is to make clear that the NWC didn’t grant approval for the inauguration or operation of a ‘Management Council’ within the Delta State Chapter of our celebration, as claimed by the stories.”

Morka additional emphasised that the purported management council has no constitutional backing throughout the celebration’s construction.

“The mentioned ‘Management Council’ isn’t a physique created or recognised below the celebration’s Structure which clearly spells out the statutory organs, buildings and committees of the celebration, and their respective powers and capabilities”, the assertion additional acknowledged.

The assertion reaffirmed the NWC’s dedication to upholding the celebration’s structure and making certain that solely official buildings function throughout the APC framework.
