Bizman joins race to interchange late Ogun rep

The Government Director of the Olanrewaju Omo George Foundation, Olanrewaju George, has formally declared his intention to contest the Home of Representatives by-election for Remo Federal Constituency beneath the All Progressives Congress.

George made his declaration on Monday, throughout a gathering with APC leaders in Ward 4, Sagamu.

This was disclosed in a press release he signed on Monday.

Throughout the assembly, he reaffirmed his dedication to youth empowerment, infrastructural improvement and high quality illustration.

“After extensive consultations, I’m stepping ahead to serve and produce significant change to Remo Federal Constituency.

“Now could be the time to harness the facility of our youthful inhabitants and create a greater future for them. This is the reason I’m contesting the Remo Federal Constituency seat; to carry high quality illustration to our folks. You deserve that,” George acknowledged.

The Home of Representatives seat grew to become vacant following the dying of Adewunmi Onanuga, the previous consultant and Deputy Chief Whip of the Home, who handed away on January 15 after a quick sickness.

Onanuga’s dying was introduced in a press release issued by the Home Spokesman, Akin Rotimi.
“It’s with profound sorrow that the Home of Representatives pronounces the passing of Rt Hon Adewunmi Onanuga, who, till her demise, served because the Deputy Chief Whip of the Home, representing the Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency of Ogun State.
“She handed away earlier right this moment, January 15, 2025, after a quick sickness,” Rotimi stated.

George had beforehand contested the Remo Federal Constituency seat within the 2023 elections in opposition to Onanuga.
