Anambra 2025: Ukachukwu defeats Ozigbo to clinch APC ticket

A former member of the Home of Representatives, Nicholas Ukachukwu, has defeated Valentine Ozigbo, to clinch the ticket of the All Progressives Congress for the 2025 Anambra State governorship election.
Ukachukwu clinched the ticket on the occasion’s primaries on Saturday, defeating Ozigbo, his closest rival, and different contenders by a landslide.
He polled 1,455 votes, whereas Ozigbo scored 67 votes.
Edozie Madu and Johnbosco Onunkwo acquired eight and 26 votes respectively.
The Anambra State governorship election will maintain on November 8, 2025.
In his acceptance speech, Ukachukwu stated: “We will ship Anambra to the APC.
“One factor I wish to say right here: No one has gained the governorship of Anambra with out my assist.
“It has by no means occurred earlier than.
“I’ve been taking part in godfatherism, however now I wish to be the daddy of the daddy.
“No extra godfather.”
