Ancestors introduced Okpebholo to revive Edo glory – Oba of Benin

Oba of Benin, Ewuare II, on Thursday stated that his ancestors introduced Governor Monday Okpebholo to revive the misplaced glory of Edo State.
Oba Ewuare made the remarks throughout a solidarity go to by Governor Monday Okpebholo to his palace in Benin after his victory on the Edo Governorship Election Tribunal that upheld his election as governor of the state.
He described the governor as a real conventional son of the land and known as on his ancestors to bless him and members of his family for not permitting the machinations of evildoers to destroy the state.
In a uncommon transfer, the Oba lifted Okpebholo up from his kneeling place, predicting that Okpebholo’s administration would appeal to extra growth to the state.
Oba Ewuare, who spoke in Edo language, stated, “It shall be effectively with you, your spouse, and kids. Your journey to Edo, our ancestors accredited it.
“Our ancestors introduced you to revive the misplaced glory of Edo State, which evil doers needed to destroy. We’ve been praying, and we are going to proceed to hope for you, to not enable evil forces to destroy Edo.”
Responding, Okpebholo thanked Oba Ewuare for his affection and intercession for him and the Edo State.
He described his election victory on the tribunal as historic and the “sweetest judgement ever” in historical past, noting that the three-member panel had been unanimous within the judgement.
“This it the primary time now we have seen a judgment the place all of the judges agreed that Monday Okpebholo received the election,” the governor added.
