Aviation Minister Opens Bola Tinubu Airport In Minna, Declares It Different To Abuja Airport

The announcement was made by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Growth, Festus Keyamo, in the course of the inaugural flight ceremony of Overland Airways from the Minna airport.
The Nigerian authorities has formally designated the Bola Tinubu Worldwide Airport in Minna, Niger State, as the choice airport to the Nnamdi Azikiwe Worldwide Airport in Abuja.
The announcement was made by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Growth, Festus Keyamo, in the course of the inaugural flight ceremony of Overland Airways from the Minna airport.
Talking on the occasion, Keyamo stated the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Worldwide Airport possesses the infrastructure and strategic location required to function a backup to the nation’s capital airport, significantly in occasions of emergencies or heavy site visitors.
“The runway is a global runway; a 747 and a triple 7 can use this runway. Why over time this has been underutilised continues to be a puzzle,” Keyamo stated.
