Oborevwori urges Ibori to affix APC

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has stated that former Governor James Ibori can be warmly welcomed into the All Progressives Congress if he decides to affix.

Oborevwori, who formally defected to the APC alongside former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and all the Delta State Peoples Democratic Party members on Monday, known as on Ibori to make the transfer as effectively.

Though Ibori has been working with the APC for the previous two years, he has but to formally announce his defection.

Talking throughout a vigil Mass in honour of the previous Deputy Governor of the state, Professor Amos Utuama, held at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Otu-Jeremi, in Ughelli South Native Authorities Space on Tuesday, Oborevwori emphasised the necessity for unity among the many Urhobo political class.

He stated, “We are going to welcome former Governor James Ibori to our occasion, the APC.”

Paying glowing tribute to the late Prof. Amos Utuama, the governor praised his selfless service, stating: “I’m very glad to be right here at this time, seeing this massive gathering for one man. The message at this time just isn’t in regards to the useless, however in regards to the residing.”

Oborevwori prayed that the passing of Utuama would deliver peace and unity to Ughelli South and all the Urhobo nation.

He extolled Utuama’s virtues, noting that he lived a purposeful life: “He lived effectively and died effectively.”
