Organised labour has introduced plan to embark on strike in Taraba from Monday, August eleventh over what it described as irregularities within the operation’s of the state’s Biometric Knowledge Seize Committee..

The 2 main labour unions, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Commerce Union Congress (TUC) introduced the plan to embark on the strike on Friday.

The unions, in a press assertion collectively signed by NLC Chairman Peter Jediel and TUC Chairman, Sule Abasu stated their determination adopted a decision reached at a gathering of the Taraba Joint State Administrative Council on August 6.

They added that the strike is in response to alleged irregularities by the state’s Biometric Knowledge Seize Committee.

The labour leaders declare actions of the committee have adversely affected Taraba staff.

The labour unions accused the committee of partaking in unlawful practices.

Additionally they stated the Taraba State Authorities failed to answer an earlier ultimatum they issued over the difficulty, therefore, the choice to embark on the strike.
