Former Group Chief Govt Officer of the Nigerian Nationwide Petroleum Firm Restricted (NNPCL), Mele Kyari, is at present being grilled by operatives of the Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee (EFCC) in Abuja.

Kyari, who had been on the company’s watchlist, arrived on the EFCC headquarters round 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

In response to insiders, the previous oil boss is predicted to reply powerful questions over multi-billion-naira funds allotted for refinery upkeep throughout his tenure.

“Sure, he’s in our workplace. He shall be ushered into the place he’ll face interrogation by crack detectives of the fee,” a senior EFCC official confirmed.

It is going to be recalled that the Federal Excessive Court docket in Abuja had earlier ordered the freezing of all financial institution accounts linked to Kyari, following an utility by the anti-graft company.
