PDP dares Wike, says no going again on nationwide conference

The Nationwide Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Umar Damagum, has maintained that there will probably be no shift in plans for the occasion’s nationwide conference, scheduled to carry in Ibadan, Oyo State, from November 15–16, 2025.
Damagum made the declaration on Tuesday in the course of the inauguration of the 110-member Nationwide Conference Organizing Committee (NCOC) in Abuja.
“As , the 2025 Nationwide Conference is scheduled to be held in Ibadan, and that’s sacrosanct, and I wish to make it very clear,” the PDP chief advised members and stakeholders current.
The committee will probably be chaired by Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, whereas Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, will function vice chairman. Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, was appointed because the secretary of the committee.
Charging the committee, Damagum urged members to prioritize equity, unity, and transparency in finishing up their task.
“My cost to this Committee is easy: as you perform your work, let equity, fairness, justice, and unity of function be your guiding ideas. Allow us to put aside private grievances and ambitions that don’t serve the collective curiosity,” he mentioned.
“Allow us to deal with the larger image: constructing public belief by proving to Nigerians by way of this conference that the PDP stays the vanguard of democracy and the blueprint for due course of.
“Let each member of our Party see, in your conduct, the peace of mind that PDP belongs to all. I’ve little question that we’ll ship a conference that reaffirms the PDP because the Party of the Individuals, by the Individuals, and for the Individuals.”
The inauguration, held on the NEC Corridor of the PDP Nationwide Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja, adopted the approval of the Nationwide Govt Committee (NEC).
Nigeria’s important opposition occasion, which ruled the nation from 1999 to 2015, has fastened the conference for November 15–16, 2025, in Ibadan, Oyo State.
