Catholic Archbishop of Lagos, Adewale Martins, Calls on Leaders to Prioritise Efficient Governance over Politicking

The Archbishop of the Metropolitan See of Lagos, His Grace and Most Rev. Dr Alfred Adewale Martins, has urged leaders throughout Nigeria to prioritise efficient governance over politicking by specializing in delivering tangible outcomes that enhance the lives of the residents.

He made this name on the commissioning of recent Catechists from varied catholic parishes in Lagos into the Lagos Archdiocesan Guild of Catechists (LAGC), in the course of the 2025 Catechist Day/Jubilee 12 months of Hope Celebration, held not too long ago on the St. Dominic Catholic Church, Yaba, Lagos.

He noticed that many politicians are preoccupied with political alignments and realignments alongside occasion traces, a pattern he mentioned has distracted them from addressing the urgent wants and welfare of Nigerians.
