FCMB Workers, Ayomide Lamidi Faces Lagos Justice of the Peace Courtroom Over N11.6 million Fraud

29-year-old Ayomide Lamidi, a Mortgage Officer with First Metropolis Monument Financial institution (FCMB) Microfinance, was arrested on suspicion of stealing N11.6 million from the financial institution, on Thursday within the Ogudu Magistrates’ Courtroom in Lagos.

As a part of its Industrial and Retail Banking group, FCMB owns and runs the FCMB Microfinance Financial institution Restricted, which provides monetary companies to underbanked Nigerians, small companies, and low-income people. The financial institution was established to advance monetary inclusion. To encourage financial progress and entrepreneurship, it offers digital companies, reasonably priced funding, and monetary literacy initiatives.

Inspector Sunday Bassey, the Prosecutor, knowledgeable the courtroom that the defendant dedicated the crime on the financial institution department on Ikorodu Road in Ketu between January and July of 2025.
