2026 Osun Guber: Ataoja of Osogbo declares open assist for Aregbesola, ADC

– says “wherever he goes, we will observe.”

The Ataoja of Osogbo, His Royal Majesty Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun, Laroye II, has endorsed and declared open assist for Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Osun because the state prepares for the 2026 gubernatorial election.
The twenty first conventional and paramount ruler of town of Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, Oba Oyetunji, made this open declaration throughout a courtesy name at his palace in Osogbo, forward of the ADC’s ultimate constituency tour of Osun State.
Oba Oyetunji held no phrases again as he emotionally declared that wherever Aregbesola goes, he’ll observe and assist him.
“Your coming to Osogbo at present is symbolic as a result of I’ve not heard that you just adopted a brand new social gathering till now that you just visited. That you’ve come to brazenly declare being in a brand new social gathering with all those who adopted you means the entire of Osogbo shall be behind you. Nobody will see me and never see Aregbe, and while you see Aregbe, you’ll certainly see me.”
He added: “Aregbesola’s journey this time round is completely different. It’s because he has come now to work assiduously for the betterment of the individuals of Osun.
“He’s one man I respect loads as a result of when some naysayers have been mounting strain on him to dethrone me, he didn’t take heed to them.
“We’re not ingrates in Osogbo. Osogbo is at all times united on the subject of politics.
“I’m for Aregbesola. I’ll by no means go away him. Wherever he goes, we will observe.”
Oba Oyetunji, who shared his ideas in Yoruba language, requested the city’s chiefs and the Asiwaju of Osogbo land, Hon. Justice Moshud Adekunle Adeigbe (Rtd), if he had echoed their minds, and so they all responded in affirmation of their assist.
