Dangote The Group is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with Honeywell International to support the next phase of expansion at Dangote refinery. This collaboration will provide advanced technologies and services that will enable the refinery to increase its processing capacity to 1.4 million barrels per day by 2028. This is a significant milestone in our long-term vision of building the world’s largest refining complex.

Under the agreement, Honeywell will provide specialty catalysts, equipment, and process technologies that will enable the refinery to efficiently process a wider range of crude oils and further improve product quality and operational safety.

Honeywell is a Fortune Global 100 industrial and technology company that provides a broad range of solutions to the aerospace, automotive, industrial automation, and performance materials industries. Since 2017, Honeywell’s UOP division has been a technology partner of Dangote, providing proprietary refining systems, catalyst regeneration units, high-performance trays, and heat exchanger technologies to support its world-class operations.

Dangote is also further expanding its petrochemical business. As part of this broader collaboration, we will utilize Honeywell’s Oleflex technology to increase our annual polypropylene capacity to 2.4 million tons. Polypropylene is an important industrial material widely used in packaging, manufacturing, and the automotive industries. In addition to expanding refining capacity,

is advancing the next phase of its fertilizer growth plan in Nigeria. We will increase our annual urea capacity from 3 million tons to 9 million tons. The existing plant has two production lines, each with a capacity of 1.5 million tons. This expansion includes four new production lines to meet the growing demand for high-quality fertilizers in Africa and the global market. Dangote The Group reaffirms its commitment to building world-class industrial capacity, strengthening Nigeria’s energy security, and promoting sustainable economic growth through long-term investment, innovation, and strategic global partnerships.
