Agency set to reinforce expertise of care staff

Coralworker, a domestic-labour options firm, is ready to launch a nationwide programme aimed toward upgrading requirements and strengthening professionalism inside Nigeria’s home and care-work sector.

The initiative, which begins on 12 December 2025, on the Nationwide Girls Centre, Abuja, is being delivered in partnership with Keystone Bank, Transcorp Hilton Abuja, NAPTIP, the Nigerian Police Drive and a number of other different federal establishments.

In an announcement to The PidomNigeria, the Founder/CEO of Coralworker.com, Chinenye Ogbonnaya, stated the programme is designed to equip home, childcare, home-care and hospitality staff with important expertise in ethics, soft-skill growth, first help, mental-health consciousness and human-rights safety.

She stated the trouble is a part of a broader plan to professionalise a labour phase that helps tens of millions of households and contributes closely to Nigeria’s casual economic system. “The initiative will run throughout a number of states and is anticipated to enhance service high quality whereas boosting the general welfare and job prospects of home staff,” she added.

Officers from collaborating companies stated the collaboration displays a rising recognition of the domestic-labour workforce as a big financial contributor that requires structured capacity-building and stronger safeguards.

With challenges reminiscent of human trafficking, exploitation and insufficient coaching nonetheless affecting the sector, they emphasised the necessity for coordinated interventions to reinforce job safety, productiveness and labour mobility.

Coralworker, which connects houses and companies with verified home and care personnel, famous that the programme will assist staff transition into extra formal and better-paying employment constructions, in the end supporting long-term financial stability.

Attendance is open to all home, childcare, home-care and hospitality staff.

Periods will function contributions from NACA, the Nationwide Human Rights Fee, the Ministry of Girls Affairs, Abuja Continental Resort, Wells Carlton Resort, Empery International Shops and the Habeeb Okunola Foundation.

The initiative is considered one of the complete efforts but to strengthen and formalise Nigeria’s domestic-labour ecosystem.
