APC fixes March 2026 for nationwide conference

The All Progressives Congress has launched a complete schedule of actions for its 2025/2026 nationwide ward, native authorities, state and zonal congresses, culminating within the celebration’s nationwide conference.

The APC Nationwide Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, launched the schedule by way of his verified X (previously Twitter) deal with on Saturday.

Based on the timetable signed by Basiru, the actions are being performed pursuant to the provisions of Articles 11 and 17 of the APC Structure and are geared toward electing celebration officers throughout all ranges.

The schedule said that the method will start with the graduation of membership e-registration on Monday, December 1, 2025, which is able to run till January 30, 2026.

It added that this can be adopted by the issuance of notices of congresses to state and Federal Capital Territory chapters on February 2, 2026.

Based on the schedule,
buy and submission of varieties for ward and native authorities space congresses are scheduled to happen between February 4 and February 9, 2026.

It disclosed that screening committees for ward and LGA positions can be inaugurated on February 10, with screening of aspirants holding from February 11 to February 13.

Ward congresses are fastened for Wednesday, February 18, 2026, whereas appeals arising from the ward congresses can be heard on February 19. LGA congresses, together with the election of three delegates, one among whom should be feminine, to the nationwide conference, will maintain on February 20, with appeals scheduled for February 21.

On the state degree, the acquisition of varieties for state government positions will start earlier, from February 23 to February 27, 2025. Screening and appeals for state executives are slated for late February and early March 2026, whereas state congresses will maintain on Saturday, March 7, 2026.

The timetable said that appeals from state congresses can be entertained between March 9 and March 11, whereas the celebration will then transfer to the zonal degree, with the acquisition and submission of varieties for zonal congresses and the nationwide conference scheduled for March 12 to March 17, 2026.

Based on the schedule, zonal congresses can be inaugurated on March 18, adopted by the screening of aspirants on March 19 and 20.

It stated they zonal congresses throughout the six geopolitical zones will happen on Saturday, March 21, 2026.

The designated zonal places of work are Ibadan for the South West, Enugu for the South East, Rivers/Cross River for the South South, Kaduna for the North West, Gombe/Bauchi for the North East, and Nasarawa for the North Central., whereas appeals arising from the zonal congresses can be heard on March 23.

The timetable reveals that the APC Nationwide Conference is scheduled to carry from Wednesday, March 25, to Saturday, March 28, 2026.
