PDP faction appoints Enugu, Delta, Rivers’ caretaker committees

The Peoples Democratic Party has appointed caretaker committees to supervise its chapters in Enugu, Delta and Rivers States.
The Nationwide Working Committee permitted the choice on behalf of the Nationwide Government Committee in keeping with Part 29(2)(b) of the PDP Structure (2025 as amended).
Asserting the appointments in an announcement on Friday , the Nationwide Organising Secretary, Theophilus Shan, stated the committees would handle social gathering affairs for a interval not exceeding 90 days or till new executives are elected.
In accordance with him, “The Nationwide Working Committee, on behalf of the Nationwide Government Committee, has permitted the structure of caretaker committees for Enugu, Delta and Rivers States.
“The committees are charged with operating the affairs of the social gathering as stipulated in Part 21(2)(a–b) of the PDP Structure.”
He added that the appointees should adhere strictly to related legal guidelines whereas finishing up their duties.
“In finishing up these assignments, the committees are to be guided strictly by the PDP Structure (2025 as amended), the Electoral Act 2022 and the Structure of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” the assertion learn.

Shan congratulated the appointees, saying the transfer was a part of efforts to strengthen the social gathering’s construction within the affected states.
