The National Working Committee (NWC) has approved the formation of a transitional committee to oversee the affairs of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the state PDP. According to a public statement posted Monday by National Press Secretary Ini Ememobong on the PDP's official Twitter account, the committee will be chaired by Hassan Muhammad Daudawa. Other members include: Hassan Muhammad Daudawa (Chairman), Shehu S. Fulani, Rabiu Illele Bakura, Musa Mallaha, Sani Lasisi Kaura, Hajiya Hauwa Kulu Makkah, and Muhammad Danbuba (Secretary). The statement also noted: "The task of the Transitional Committee is to oversee the party activities of the state Zamfara in accordance with Article 21(2)(a-b) of the Party Charter." The Committee shall manage party affairs for a period not exceeding ninety (90) days, or until the formal election of the new State Executive Committee, whichever comes first.
