Kidnapped Oyo APC chieftain regains freedom

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, Wale Oriade, who was kidnapped some weeks in the past, on Saturday regained his freedom after 39 days in captivity.

The Public Relations Officer of the APC within the state, Wale Sadare, confirmed this to The PidomNigeria On-line by phone from Ibadan, the state capital.

PidomNigeria On-line studies that Oriade was kidnapped, on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, round 7:06 pm at his workplace positioned at PJ Sq. Procuring Complicated, beside the Nigerian Nationwide Petroleum Firm Restricted station, Elewure, alongside Iyana Ajanla, Akala Expressway, New Storage, Ibadan.

Eyewitnesses stated the attackers arrived in a blue Micra automobile with two occupants—a driver and an armed man—who forcibly seized Oriade and whisked him away in the identical automobile.

“The character of the assault and the precision with which it was carried out have triggered deep concern inside his group,” the eyewitness stated.

Sadare stated, “Sure, I can affirm it. He (Oriade) has been launched.”
