Osun The All Progressive Congress (APC) Youth Wing Establishes Campaign Teams in Six Municipalities

The All Progressive Congress (APC) Youth Wing in the Western Senate District Osun has established campaign committees in six municipalities. This is part of a grassroots mobilization effort ahead of the state’s 2026 gubernatorial election.

* The mobilization targets party leaders, youth representatives, supporters, and independent voters in Isokan

, Ayedire Osun, and Olaolua

Voters in the state Party will elect a new governor on August 8.

* Incumbent Governor Ademola Adlek Bola is seeking re-election, campaigning on the platform of “Agreement Platform”

. His rivals include APC gubernatorial candidate Oyebamiji Osogbo and African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate Dr. Najim Salam. Political experts are calling it a “battle of political heavyweights.”

Peter Ogundejii, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the 2027 Western Senate elections, said in a statement released Saturday

that the grassroots mobilization campaign was organized in cooperation with the APC Youth Chairman’s office.

*The statement noted that the tour began in the Isokan District and will extend to the other four districts in the county.

The statement also said: “This tour includes setting up door-to-door campaign committees in the towns visited and praying for APC gubernatorial candidate Asiwaju Munirudeen Oyebamiji (AMBO) and wishing him/her success in the election.” Bola Municipal Council Chairman Michael Odetunde welcomed the mobilization team led by Ogundejii and Imran Adekunle, Chairman of the Western Region APC Senate Youth Committee, to Apomu, the capital of the Isokan municipal district, praising the move as “timely and strategic.”

He assured them that voters in the municipal district would support the APC and commended the party’s early grassroots mobilization efforts.

*Ogundejii and Adekunle each issued statements emphasizing that unity within the APC is crucial to ensuring victory in the upcoming election.

*Adekunle explained that Isokan was chosen as the starting point for this tour because of its cohesive and strategic importance. He added that APC unity remains crucial given the intense preparations for the 2026 general election.

However, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced that the formal campaign would begin on March 11.
