Respect native customs, NYSC DG advises corps members

The NYSC boss additionally cautioned them to respect the customs of their host communities and keep good conduct all through their service.

Earlier, the NYSC Ogun State Coordinator, Mrs Olayinka Nasamu, knowledgeable the Director-Basic that 3,341 corps members, together with 975 initially deployed to Lagos State, had been registered on the camp.

She mentioned the corps members had “performed themselves responsibly and tailored to the regimented camp life,” including that “all camp officers are additionally performing their duties diligently with excessive sense of synergy.”

In Oyo State, the NYSC Coordinator, Mr Kayode Ola-Peters, mentioned 3,068 registered corps members had proven commendable character, participated actively in camp actions and demonstrated readiness to contribute to nationwide improvement throughout sectors.

The Nationwide Youth Service Corps had earlier introduced that the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream I Orientation Course commenced nationwide on Wednesday, January 21, throughout all 37 NYSC orientation camps.

“Camp Registration for all Corps Members will happen from Wednesday, twenty first to midnight of Friday, twenty third, January, 2026.”

The Swearing-in Ceremony was held on Friday, twenty third January, 2026, whereas the Closing Ceremony will happen on Tuesday, tenth February, 2026.
