BREAKING: INEC recognises Wike-backed PDP NWC

The Independent National Electoral Commission has officially recognised the faction of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party backed by Nyesom Wike, the minister of the federal capital territory.

The electoral body reflected the update on its official website on Monday, publishing the revised leadership of the opposition party.

Those recognised include Abdulrahman Mohammed as national chairman and Samuel Anyanwu as national secretary, alongside other members of the party’s national leadership.

Members of the NWC were re-elected through consensus after the national caretaker committee was dissolved.
