FMC Umuahia staff allegedly commits su!cide

A junior staff of Federal Medical Centre, FMC, Umuahia, Abia State, Ikenna Onuoha, allegedly committed suic!de.

Onuoha’s body was discovered by a group of local security operatives in a bush path at Amaeke-Isiadu in Umuahia North Local Government Area on March 25, 2026.

The spokesperson of the State Police Police Command, DSP Maureen Chinaka, who confirmed the incident said preliminary investigation indicated that Onuoha committed su!cide.

“There was no sign of marks on his body. The body has been deposited at the morgue for preservation, and autopsy,” the PPRO stated.

“But preliminary investigation showed that he suspectedly committed suicide. 

“However, investigation is ongoing; the public will be updated on conclusion of investigation.”
