Iran-Israel War Highlights: US Central Command claim over 10000 strikes on Iran, as US President Donald Trump warns of escalation and Antonio Guterres urges an end to fighting.

Iran-Israel War Highlights: US Central Command, while providing an update on Operation Fury, said American forces have struck more than 10,000 targets, claiming major degradation of Iran’s military capacity, including sharp declines in its naval strength and missile and drone activity, with operations still ongoing.

The rhetoric from Washington has also intensified, with the White House warning that President Donald Trump is prepared to escalate further if Iran refuses to accept what it described as a military setback.

“President Trump does not bluff… he is prepared to unleash hell. Iran should not miscalculate again,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said, warning of tougher action if Tehran refuses to accept what Washington describes as a military defeat.

Amid the escalating conflict, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres cautioned that the prolonged disruption in the Strait of Hormuz is affecting global supplies of oil, gas, and fertilisers, worsening civilian hardship and economic strain, and reiterated his call for an immediate end to the war.

Separately, Trump confirmed that his previously delayed meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping will now take place in Beijing on May 14–15, with both sides also planning reciprocal visits later this year.
