Newlywed NYSC Member K!lled In Jos Reprisal Attack A Day To Passing Out Parade

A reprisal attack has left two people de@d, including an NYSC member, following an earlier assault on the Gari Ya Waye community in Angwan Rukuba, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The attack which occurred on Sunday, March 29, 2026, resulted in the d3ath of 30 people.
In the aftermath of the shooting, some aggrieved residents reportedly attacked unsuspecting passersby on the Jos-Bauchi highway, resulting in the d3ath of two persons.
The Corps member, Ibrahim Haruna, who recently got married, was set to complete his service on Tuesday, March 31.
The situation created heightened tension in the area, with fears of further escalation.
The Plateau State Governor subsequently imposed an immediate 48-hour curfew to restore calm and prevent additional reprisal attacks.
