PDP stays sturdy opposition in Ondo, says chairman

The Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo State says the celebration, regardless of its myriad of challenges, stays sturdy opposition that may hold the ruling celebration on its toes.

The state Chairman of PDP, Mr Dupe Aisida, said this on Friday whereas disregarding the rumoured dissolution of the state government committee.

He stated some pockets of elections held throughout the nation have proven that PDP was a celebration that will not die.

On the purported dissolution of the state government committee of the celebration, Aisida described such assertion as a mere figment of illegality.

“The eye of the Ondo State Chapter of the PDP has been drawn to an announcement circulating in some quarters claiming that the Nationwide Caretaker Working Committee (NCWC) has dissolved the Ondo State Government Committee of the celebration.

“The state government committee clearly, unequivocally, and with none ambiguity want to state that the Ondo State Government Committee stays intact, duly constituted, and absolutely operational.

“The stated publication didn’t emanate from any correctly communicated channel to the Ondo State management of the celebration, nor was there any formal notification served on the state government committee via the constitutionally recognised channels of the celebration,” he said.

In accordance with him, the assertion is untimely, deceptive and able to creating pointless confusion amongst celebration members and most of the people.

The chairman stated that the PDP management within the state remained dedicated to the unity, stability and continued development of the celebration.

He urged PDP members throughout the 18 native authorities areas within the state to stay calm, centered and steadfast of their loyalty and allegiance to the celebration.

“We additionally advise members of the general public and the media to ignore any interpretation or hypothesis able to undermining the peace and cohesion of the celebration within the state.

“The Ondo State chapter of the PDP stays united, sturdy, and dedicated to offering credible management and a viable various for the nice folks of Ondo State,” he stated.
