A video of the screening, televised on Come up TV and monitored by PidomNigeria On-line, confirmed every nominee taking the rostrum, introducing themselves, and answering questions from lawmakers.

Governor Fubara submitted the checklist to the Home on March 5, 2026, following his dissolution of the State Govt Council.

The Meeting, via a discover signed by Clerk Dr. Emeka Amadi dated March 3, 2026, had earlier directed the nominees to submit 40 copies of their curricula vitae, credential photocopies, and tax compliance proof in preparation for the screening and affirmation course of.

This growth follows the restoration of democratic governance in Rivers State after President Bola Tinubu lifted the six-month state of emergency on September 17, 2025.

The emergency rule, imposed on March 18, 2025, had suspended Fubara, his deputy, and the Home of Meeting amid a chronic political disaster stemming from disagreements between Fubara and his predecessor and Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, over management of the state’s political construction.
