Tinubu, APC not behind NNPP litigation, celebration tells Kwankwaso’s group

The New Nigeria Peoples Party has denied claims by the Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso-led group that President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress are behind the celebration’s ongoing litigation.

The celebration attributed the litigation and defections from the NNPP to Kwankwaso’s “high-handedness” and makes an attempt to hijack the celebration.

This was said in a launch by the NNPP’s Nationwide Secretary, Mr Ogini Olaposi, in Lagos on Tuesday.

The NNPP stated its response was prompted by numerous interviews given by Elder Buba Galadima and his supporters, during which they accused the President and APC of sponsoring the celebration in escalating courtroom instances to forestall Kwankwaso from taking up.

The celebration described the allegations as “lazy and empty blackmail which is useless on arrival.”

“Was it Tinubu that made Kwankwaso, the NNPP 2023 presidential candidate, need to hijack a celebration that gave him a free ticket to run?

The celebration stated the NNPP stays “the attractive bride of the 2027 normal elections” and urged members who left for different events to return.

“We recall that the final nationwide conference held in Lagos (2025) resolved that each one elected members be granted automated tickets primarily based on loyalty.
