Tucker Carlson releases The Bibi Files: What it contains and why it is going viral

Released by the conservative podcaster’s news network, the documentary shines a light on the corruption cases of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The former Fox News personality has been critical of the Israeli PM even prior to escalating tensions in West Asia.
It is gaining traction not only for its explosive allegations but also because it is reportedly banned in Israel, which has heightened global interest and online engagement.
Promoting the film, Carlson’s network claimed it exposes “years of hidden stories,” including alleged corruption, backroom dealings, and geopolitical decisions.
In a post on X, Tucker Carlson Network wrote, “Our latest documentary, The Bibi Files, is banned in Israel. Actually.”
“The reason is simple and draconian. This film exposes years of stories the Netanyahu government wants to keep hidden. Over-the-top corruption allegations, shady backroom deals, the prime minister’s anti-US geopolitical manoeuvres, and so much more. The Bibi Files has it all,” it said.

“Featuring insider testimony and leaked interrogation footage, this new documentary reveals a side of power that regular citizens were never meant to see. As America dives deeper into the Iran War, understanding who is pulling the strings matters more than ever,” it added.
Carlson himself suggested that as the US becomes more involved in regional conflicts, understanding the leadership behind key decisions is increasingly important.
On X, he wrote, “As the US is dragged into another foreign war, it’s worth knowing about the man who forced us into it. Watch the film so revealing that it’s banned in Israel. The Bibi Files streaming now on TCN.”

A major reason behind the documentary’s viral spread is its use of alleged insider testimonies and leaked interrogation footage. Among the most widely circulated clips are those allegedly featuring billionaire couple Miriam Adelson and Sheldon Adelson, known for supporting Republican causes.
In one of the purported recordings, Sheldon Adelson is heard expressing frustration over Netanyahu’s inner circle, particularly referencing his wife, Sara Netanyahu. “I think the country of Israel would be better off if she [Sara] didn’t put her nose into his [Bibi] politics. She’s very unforgiving — I gotta tell you, I gotta be as honest with you as much as I can. I don’t think I’ll continue the friendship with them,” Sheldon can be heard saying.

Another clip allegedly captures Miriam Adelson making a remark suggesting fear over potential fallout if certain information became public. Sharing the clip on X, the user wrote, “The narrator describes Netanyahu as someone who keeps a “sugar daddy” in every part of the world. Sheldon Adelson was apparently the cigar guy. Whatever the Bibi Files contain, that opening line just became the most quoted sentence of the week.”

These clips have driven massive online discussion, although their authenticity has not been independently verified. The Israeli-American billionaire couple were once considered close allies of Netanyahu. However, reports over the years have indicated a deterioration in their relationship.
According to a 2019 The Times of Israel report, the publisher of the Israel Hayom tabloid reportedly stated that her relationship with the premier and his wife had deteriorated due to repeated concerns about how the couple was being covered in the free daily.
In leaked transcripts, Miriam describes a relationship that devolved from friendly to “constant complaints” and even “screams on the phone” on the part of the Netanyahus, primarily Sara, to the point where Miriam would set the receiver down to avoid hearing the shouting. According to Adelson, Sara told her that it would be her fault if Iran utilised nuclear weapons to destroy Israel.
The Bibi Files also includes never-before-seen footage of Netanyahu being interrogated by police over corruption allegations that eventually led to his indictment in 2019, as per a report in Euronews, published in 2025. Israeli authorities had recorded thousands of hours of interrogation footage between 2016 and 2018 as part of the investigation.
The documentary’s release also comes at a time of heightened geopolitical sensitivity, with ongoing tensions involving Iran and broader regional instability.
Directed by Alexis Bloom, the documentary was produced by Oscar-winning Alex Gibney.
