Turaki-led PDP not holding congress in South West – Official

The Peoples Democratic Party within the South West has denied scheduling any congress within the zone.
PDP Southwest Zonal Publicity Secretary, Sanya Atofarati, described as “false and mischievous” claims that congresses had been deliberate within the Southwest states.
In an announcement in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State on Tuesday, Atofarati urged the general public and social gathering members to ignore stories of any congress within the area, saying, “At no time has the social gathering authorised or introduced any state congress within the South West.”
The assertion was issued in response to circulating claims and timetables concerning deliberate PDP congresses within the South West states.
Following a management disaster, the PDP had cut up into two factions, with Samuel Anyanwu main one group and Taminu Turaki SAN heading the opposite.
Atofarati acknowledged that the majority South West states didn’t require a congress, explaining, “5 of the six South West states have duly elected and legally constituted state executives.

He additional urged the general public and dependable members to ignore what he known as a “sham timetable” being circulated by expelled people who lack legitimacy and ethical standing.
