Women resist PHCN officials who stormed their area to disconnect power despite poor power supply (video)

 A video showing the moment official a group of women resisted men of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria PHCN from disconnecting their electricity wires despite poor power supply has made the rounds on social media.

In the video, the women who spoke in Yoruba said;

‘’We have not had light yet you still want to disconnect our wire? For three months you have not given us power. We all sleep outside now”

The enraged women stood by the ladder the officials brought, stopping them from climbing the pole to disconnect power. 

When one of the officials tried to push one of the women, the others swamped around him.

The video has gathered mixed reactions online with many applauding the women for standing up against the PHCN officials.

Nigerians have faced poor power supply in the last three months, Two days ago, the Minister of Power apologised for the poor power supply and said the situation will improve in two weeks.
