2027 Race Heats Up: Tinubu’s ₦100M Nomination Forms Picked as Re-Election Bid Kicks Off

In front of the 2027 presidential election, James Faleke, the congressman for the Ikeja Federal Constituency, has picked up the All Progressives Congress Expression of Interest and Nomination forms on behalf of President Bola Tinubu.
On Tuesday in Abuja, Suleiman Argungu, the National Organizing Secretary of the APC, announced that the process was open and gave Faleke, the founder of the Tinubu Support Groups, the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms.
Tinubu’s reelection campaign officially began when Faleke collected and paid the N100 million worth of forms on the President’s behalf.
The elections for governorships and State Houses of Assembly will take place on Saturday, January 16, 2027, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission, while governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections will hold on Saturday, February 6, 2027.
The panel further declared that the party primaries will take place from April 23, 2026, until May 30, 2026, including the settlement of any associated disputes.
INEC added that the presidential and National Assembly campaigns will start on August 19, 2026, while the state assembly and governorship campaigns will start on September 9, 2026.
