Abike Dabiri-Erewa Loses Email Account To Hackers

The personal email account of the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has been compromised by hackers.

Naija News reports that Dabiri-Erewa raised the alarm in a statement via her 𝕏 handle and warned members of the public to disregard any messages sent from the email address.

The NiDCOM boss also cautioned that any correspondence originating from the email account [email protected], or any other address, should be ignored until full control of the account is restored.

Dabiri-Erewa further appealed for patience and understanding from associates, noting that the breach has disrupted her ability to attend to official and personal communications.

She assured that efforts are underway to secure the account and restore normal operations.

She wrote, “Please be informed that my email account ([email protected]) has been compromised by hackers.

“Kindly ignore any emails purportedly sent from me using this or any other address until I regain full control of the account. I will unfortunately not be able to respond to the thousands of emails that must have accumulated during this period.”

Meanwhile, Dabiri-Erewa recently expressed deep sadness over the death of Nihinloluwa Agoro and her children, Temiloluwa and Isaac, in a road accident in Fort Bend County, Texas, in the US.

Naija News learnt that the tragic incident happened on Sunday, March 15, 2026, while the family were on their way to church.

Dabiri-Erewa, in a statement through the Commission’s Head of Media, Public Relations and Protocols Unit, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, said that such a sudden loss is heartbreaking for any family, especially during what should have been an ordinary journey.

While sympathising with the Agoro family, Dabiri-Erewa prayed for the repose of the deceased and comfort for those left behind.

‎The NiDCOM Boss also wished a speedy recovery to anyone injured in the accident and equally called for caution on the roads to prevent such tragedies.
