Actor Ben Affleck gives singer Jennifer Lopez his interest in $60m Beverly Hills mansion for free

Ben Affleck has reportedly handed over his entire stake in the $60 million mansion he bought with ex-wife Jennifer Lopez, and sources say he did it for free.

According to court documents, the former couple updated their property settlement agreement to reflect a “transfer of property among spouses.” While the filing doesn’t detail the exact terms, insiders claim Affleck gave Lopez his full share of the luxury home without receiving payment, effectively walking away from tens of millions of dollars.

The mansion, purchased in May 2023 for over $60 million in cash, also had millions more invested in upgrades. Despite being listed for sale since July 2024, shortly before Lopez filed for divorce, the property has struggled to attract buyers. The asking price was initially set at $68 million before being reduced to $52 million, but it still hasn’t sold.

Lopez is currently living in the mansion while renovating another home she recently acquired. Affleck’s decision may be influenced by his strong financial position. Reports indicate he recently sold his AI company, InterPositive, to Netflix for around $600 million, leaving him in a position to absorb the loss.

With full ownership now in Lopez’s hands, she stands to benefit financially if the property eventually sells.
